あいにくのドシャブリで風も強く、ブルブルと震えるくらい肌寒い中、
バリ風のシャリンシャリンという鐘の音と太鼓が鳴り響き、
巨大な白い蚕のような万灯が、ワッサワッサと揺れていました。
行列は長く、応援する観客も集まり盛り上がっていましたが、
少し離れると、暗くて人の気配もなく、
だだっ広い道に一両編成の都電荒川線が走る。
