A Unique Sausage which is Created by Japanese

About 64 years ago, in 1949.
One century had passed since Japanese met Western culture in 1853.
At such a time, a fish meat sausage was born in Japan.
It was about time when the eating habits of the common people had become westernization.
But it was not so easy for Japanese.
They converted admiration to Western food into their original form.
It is the fish meat sausage which it processes fish meat and made a sausage style.

However, the truth which is made of fish were sold hidden as much as possible.
Besides, fish sausages that taste like pork sausages have also been introduced.
Is it a guilty conscience?
I think that Japanese should be proud of their creation.
I hope they master their subject more.

I started to draw from a state of charcoal burnt with a pot.

黒は黒でも、さまざまな表情、質感のある黒を持つ備長炭。
備長炭を作る時のように、釜で焚かれている炭の状態からスタート。

Memory of the numbers

The number is realistic.　The number itself does not have the feelings.
Therefore we try to learn some kind of options concerning the number.
In that way, we might always keep the balance.

She tried to flip through a old bunch of numbers fluently.
It was like a music box helping her to remember those days.
The sad melody 'Romance de amour' was played in her head.


数字は現実的だ。数字自体に感情はない。
ゆえに私達は数字にまつわる何らかのオプションを覚えようとする。
そのようにして、人はバランスをとっているのかもしれない。

彼女は古い数字の束をペラペラとめくってみた。
それはあの頃を思い出すオルゴール。
「禁じられた遊び」の切ないメロディーが聞こえてきた。

The real fresh-and-blood is three dimensional.
So we see about three surfaces of the parson at the same time.
ex) the front, the side, and the upper side.

It is the same as human feelings.
Our feelings are just as complex.
And so, it is impossible for us to see all the feelings of the person in front of us.
However, maybe we should look for at least three feelings at the same time.

Even if she were angry, it could just be one face.
You could think of at least two other faces.
On top of the anger, there's a face that it is disappointed expectation and grieves,
all while having a face that full of the love for her partner.
If you don't look for all three, you can't see the person properly.


生身の人間は立体。
だから私達は一人の人間の、３面くらいは同時に見ることができます。
例えば、正面、側面、天面。

それは人間の感情と同じ。
人間の感情は複雑です。
私達は目の前にいる人が抱く感情のすべてを見ることは出来ません。
でもおそらく、３つの感情くらいは見ることが出来るかもしれません。

たとえ彼女が怒っていたとしても、それは単なる一面にすぎない。
他に二つの面くらいは見えるはず。
期待を裏切られて悲しんでいる面（顔）、
相手に対する愛情に満ちあふれている面（顔）…。

人を平面的に見るな、というお話。

なんとかして西洋文化と融合しようとしている時代の建築も、
日本人ならではのユニークな感性が光っていて面白いなと思います。
